Fifth Ward; In Houston?s historically black neighborhood known as the 5th WARD, an argument at the local convenience store leaves a young girl dead. As residents and officials deal with the aftermath, we focus on several members of the community specifically: Long time FIFTH WARD resident MINA who fears for her own children?s safety. Helping her keep it together is police captain Robert Kennedy. He has left 5th Ward behind and is making his way up the ranks of the police force. Life is a struggle and all the residents do their best to survive every day in the Ward.
