After being gone for such a long time, and with Ariana, Demi, Tori, etc stepping in her lane, doing the kind of stuff she did when she was younger, I think she really just got lost. And Atlantic did a poor job with her marketing and musical direction. If she stays authentic to who she is and let people write for her, she could have a real comeback. Rooting for her.

And the black hair slays. That washed out look she had wasn't it.

Not saying she shouldn't write at all, but some artists can write hits and some can't. She's one of those artists that need to have other people write for her. Once she gets the hit(s) she needs, she'll be a radio staple again.

She?s SUPER gifted and absolutely should write, but there needs to be even more people involved and she needs to demand that she incorporate even more soul into her work. She can literally sing anything and should have the freedom to do so

I kinda feel the same but maybe she does. And her label definitely will. She is signed to a new label now and I'm almost sure JoJo isn't at the Brandy stage in her career where she just wants to 'make good music and be of service'. She wants to be a main chick and on the daily, u have people constantly telling her she has what it takes to do so. So I'm pretty sure that's a goal of hers. Way too many things went wrong the last era. The Tringle was a bad idea, imo. Didn't work for Nicki Minaj either. And after that flopped, 1 more year of recording new material that was more her, just to get a No Apologies and FAB mess. Indie or not, she can release much better quality music that can still become hits. She has the potential like u said.

She needs to get back into acting too. Something to garner some more popularity.
