Sadly pedophilia has always existed. And unfortunately nothing will change. Kids will still be raped, videotaped and killed, because the child predators know exactly that it's wrong, but still choose to act on their sexual desires in the way of purchasing video material or even raping children. That's what keeps this underground scene alive. It all happens secretly, until someone catches them.
Saying "Disgusting! Lock them up!" AFTER the crime happened is not gonna change anything, except keeping the general idea that pedophilia is something that can't be cured or controlled and that jail or death is the only solution (I'm not saying child predators shouldn't be jailed. They should definitely be jailed). But there has to be some sort of discussion about it. It's understandingly a very uncomfortable topic to talk about. I've heard of a German psychologist who's in charge of therapy sessions with raped children, and she ALSO does therapy sessions with anonymous pedophiles where they work on how to control their sexual desires and NOT act on it in any way. I think that's a good start. Going to the roots of it all. But until then, child predator gets caught, jailed, repeat.
