This would've been a fine standalone film

All the scenes with the husband back on earth were added later

If those weren't included it would've been a nice sci fi flick

Once your plot literally establishes that anything can happen for no reason because alternate dimensions, there's no compelling need for script logic any more.

This is what started to piss me off and shit just started to seem DRY. They had all this room to really play with things and all we got was that bitch materializing, that guys arm doing shit, same guys arms phasing through that wall and alternate realities merging. 

I kept waiting for it to get good

Its the same concept, we just don't live in the DVD age anymore but it's pretty much the same thing. No big budget boxoffice movie smash is releasing to Netflix before getting it's chance a the theatrical coin first.
