blood vs crips is huge here in NYC period.

Luckily i was kept away from public schools in the hood (even tho i lived there) but you definitely heard of people getting jumped, sliced and diced in their mugs, jumped and shot for claiming mess or even WEARING the wrong colors. it could legit be a gor who loved red and end up getting her ass beat for it.

it was so huge that it became part of school policies not to wear certain colors. 

i honestly thought all of that mess went out of style though. it used to be cute to say that you were the first lady of the crips and mess..or dating a "lord" or whatever.

i remember going over to someone's house with my bestie yearsss ago...she was a full-time lezzie at the time and was meeting some girl..

and when we went inside the girl was pregnant with a drink in hand. and had 2 other people in her apartment , as her two kids were in their bedroom on a school night.

one of them came out of their room to ask her for something. she shoo'ed them away. and im like damn. u don't know us at all, have invited us into your house, you're drinking...you're smoking...and two other niggas up in here who im sure u don't know that well either...
