Bruce you make great points but Viola is far from weak no matter how you slice it :dead:

ya rock muh world.

I agree that there's but so many opportunities available in Hollywood for Black actors considering that we live in a White country.

People get on Tyler Perry a lot for the genre and plots that he chooses but he's actually necessary. No shade but unless he was churning out those movies like he's been a lot of Black actors would have still been between gigs.

This is cute, but what change does this bring? I mean really what is Viola Davis doing but falling on deaf ears. Those white women in the audience will give a cute , wow.. but they will not continue the dialogue beyond that because then they will have to carry the guilt. They know that they do not support black projects, and that is in part why black women cannot demand more money. Even in music, for black women to be very successful they have to be a unicorn. They have to possess talent and beautiful like never before seen.

While Monique's approach may be a bit over the top. I think Viola Davis's is a beat weak and is not doing anything for her cause. I do not think she is a black Meryl Streep because she has not been given the opportunities as Meryl. I mean she was in a Tyler Perry Movie less than 10 years ago.

I think a big women in film like Viola need to call out the white women who are asking for pay equality. Ask them how can they expect men to support their cause when they do not support the plight of their fellow female actors of color in their pay inequality in comparison to them.
shes starting her own production house that caters to people of color, wordy fagg

White people really think they're paying you a compliment when they call you the black version of a white person who is successful  :uhh:
The way her facial expression and voice changed when she mimicked them over the phone  :plzstop: :plzstop: :plzstop: :plzstop:
Monique let herself down when she resorted to petty antics like leaking emails and getting into tit for tat arguments, and responding to every critique.

Monique let herself down when she asked people to boycott Netflix because she didn't get the pay she wanted; that was very selfish. Not saying that Netflix should be a savior for black people or where they should aspire to be but they're far from anti-black content/talent. Her starting a boycott could have affected black worker's jobs (actors, crew members, etc), and then what? Unless she had an alternative streaming service or something to replace what she was asking people to stop watching, she should have kept it to a conversation about pay inequality..
