I think this is why I lived for New York the week I went there. In the south they force you to be polite no matter what. In NYC they dont give a fuck about you. So it doesn't feel like everybody is watching your every move and everyone is moving like they got somewhere to be

In the south people look at me crazy if they see me walking a distance or if Im speed walking to get somewhere and people won't talk to you unless they want to so it weeds out the fake pleasantry shit and you only meet people who actually give af about you.

I was only there for a damns week but everybody kept asking me for directions cause they though I was an NYC gal.

People in NYC were actually nicer than I expected when I went there. Now the fucking traffic is the pits. I've never seen such chaos and these people literally just honk their horns for the fucking hell of it.

When my Uber driver ended up in a line of behind 6 cabs and he started honking his horns and all the other 6 cabs followed and did the same even the one in front who had no one infront of him. I was confused af. They sat there just fucking honking and honking until the damn light changed.
