The way we lashed Lew. I knew it wasn't 48 pages about Dave.



But yh did we ever find the point in Ralf bringing up Ludacris saying he was lightskin in response to Amandla putting her lightskin privelege aside to give dark skinned women a chance at the role?

Or the whole Dave East "backlash" that never occurred?

It was never about WHY the person said they were light. I didn't even read home girl's article comments or post. Kii. So I see why some of you are confused.

For me, it was about perspective on skin color. Light, dark, doesn't matter.

And I had just finished watching the breakfast interview with luda.
That's why I thought about Luda's joke. "thanks for letting my light skin self on the breakfast club!" I just didn't know Luda viewed himself that way (which isn't wrong), cause I didn't view him that way. It was my projection onto him. And I would have had the same response if he said "thanks for letting my dark skin self on the show". So it isn't about putting light skin on a pedestal. 

It wasn't and isn't that deep tho. Lol.


I never meant to cause any harm. Thought the conversation would have continued about the girl.

Well I know her from the hunger games, the tv show sleepy hollow, and a movie that just came out everything, everything. She's a beautiful girl

I mean, I watched an interview with Selena Q's family talking about how "she had DARK hair, DARK skin, and had struggles with that"...

Selena, bidi bidi bom bom, dark skinned?


But it's all relative. And now hearing about that Dave East thing, it clearly is.
But wasn't the intention I was going for in this thread. I was just being silly.

All you do is go from thread to thread arguing with people and then you get in your feelings when you get clocked and start talking about not caring, people not comprehending or going separate ways and coexisting.

My siblings and I, cousins... even if one is a little lighter or darker (there are many shades)... we all consider ourselves the same.

Is it me or does it seem like it's always one of Ralf's posts that sends an otherwise harmless thread into the pits of hell?
