Ariana Grande is taking a big step forward ... moving on from the terrorist attack at her Manchester concert last year by completing her 4th album, which we're told is a "personal" masterpiece.

Sources close to the singer tell TMZ ... she just played the entire album at a wrap meeting with Republic Records execs and her manager, Scooter Braun, and everyone's raving -- it's her best yet.

We're told half of the album was produced by Pharrell and the other half by Max Martin, but Ariana was involved in the writing of every song ... something new for her.

I'm sure if you take the top 14 reviews of any Nicki album, you could probably get a score of 76.

And Ariana has no impact. I like the girl and she's a good singer but she has like... no impact.

Where's the sales, acclaim and impact?

Ariana is a terrible live performer  she's always out of breath and she can't get a hit on her own.

She only has one solo Top 10 hit, and it wasn't even that big.

Dangerous Woman and Focus from her last project alone are top 10 songs, her tour outgrossed, and her music was grammy nominated. The biggest story surrounding Nicki is how she lost in a rap battle, her music started to flop immediately after, and she was kicked out the industry by a former stripper.  Nicki is done and Ariana shits on her
