No, she can?t. Tiffany is Tiffany and pretty much playerd herself in the movie. A lot of popular, well known girls tried out for that role and knew Tiffany would get it. Well deserved.

I think people dragging celebs on the internet is something a lot of people do in some form or another. It could all be addressed as , "Why u hatin?". A read is a read, no matter what stage the celebrity is in.

I'd hope it's all just for kii's and giggles. And that everyone is getting their own mess together and/or maintaining what they already have.

I think the entire way of America in general is to bring celebrities all the way up, only to tear them down. That concept has never been exclusive to POC. Once a celebrity makes it big, tabloids begin to swarm to make their coin, stories begin to pop up so blogs can get their hits. The goal is to find the dirt. The pics with no makeup on. Call them a slut, a whore. If they were caught doing drugs, even better. Fabulous. Let's print that up.

You can't be successful, beautiful and perfect. America as a whole isn't buying that.

But I dunno. I think it's not so much about hating sometimes. Some people, not everyone, but some people, like to go against the grain a bit. "Everyone says she's funny? Well, hmph. I have news. I DONT. ", etc.

And they may actually not think she's funny or get the big deal about her. That's OK. They have a right to feel that way and express it.

But anytime someone's on top, best believe there will be critics waiting for them. That's not just for Tiffany. Taylor had to address her critics with "Look What U Made Me Do", etc. So it happens to everyone. If you're successful, and even worse, successful AND have the nerve to be beautiful too..you're in for some mess.

But I think something worth exploring that's in the same vein of what you brought up is the Black community having a hard time supporting others within the community sometimes. I'm not talking about celebs - they sign up to be picked apart by everyone as entertainers.

I mean Loqueta who just got her Masters and a great job, moved to a new neighborhood and now has to hear that she's a "sellout" or "think she's all that now", etc.

I think you're touching on something real but I just think it's a different element of this more general topic of "hating" that applies to the Black community - our lack of support for one another sometimes (as other minorities do) is concerning.
