T4p!
mess. that?ll have to change everywhere pretty soon and I?m glad that actress even told us what an inclusion rider/clause even IS cuz i had no idea
s
yea I had no idea either... and kinda still don't know what it means tbh
that sentence they're adding seems very broad
then the article turned around and named all the blacks/minorities they are currently working with so it was kinda confusing tbh
is everyone basically trying to hint that Netflix is a racist company now? that's all I need to know
like the last part was very .... leading ... but not accusatory
I've seen like 5 articles beating around the bush instead of outright accusing them
!!!! Sndndndndnfnnf
We know Hollywood DEFINITELY has a long way to go in the inclusion department and obviously NetFlix needs to make some changes, but we can?t run around calling everyone racist or even hinting at it, really.
You better make sure you have the bold hard facts to back up those statements when you do, because NetFlix has done nothing but impress me with all of their black content and the freedom they?ve given those same black producers and writers like Ava DuVernay and Lena Waithe to do their own thing.
Now if this were a case of NetFlix simply giving us ?black shows? here and there and paying us a nice little chunk while their white creators and writers continue to run the proverbial show, then I?d have an issue.
That isn?t the case here. Black writers and producers are doing their fuckin THING over at NetFlix and have even left the biggest conglomerate out there in Disney/ABC to do so.
NetFlix definitely needs to have more inclusion in terms of their executive staff (which this article highlighted) and that?s something we can discuss, but that?s a separate issue IMO. Just wanted to make that clear lol
