I agree to an extent. MJ also had a rough patch in his career where he was scrutinized more than he was praised and Pac definitely had his share of controversy. I think once Chris really bounces back, he can be highly respected and considered one of the greats, though he'll never be as big as MJ or 2Pac.

Dueces?

wow I remember when that came out.

People were praising Kings Artistry left and right.

That song was like...his Purple Rains or something

But then looking at Ne-Yo, Trey Songz, Mario or Jermih... His comp' really makes him look like he is GREAT.

I thought he bounced back with Dueces? Wasn't that a hit?

I'm just not seeing him in any genius/innovator lane tbh. He makes radio fodder, has an ear for hooks and was able to drive a car and beat Rihanna's ass at the same time.

Other than that...yeah :hmph:
!!!
And his vocals are average at best, his dancing is redundant and he's only able to keep up with trends, not set them

Herb.

Chris Brown always had an enormous amount of talent and charisma. I totally get the MJ comparison. I really think had he not turned into the poster child for domestic violence he would have been one of the biggest stars we'd seen in our lifetime. Very close to Michael status.

I mean his career still managed to survive something that most of us thought it wouldn't. That says a lot. And yes R. Kelly had the same experience, but the difference is that there was no smoking gun in Robert's case. We had cold hard proof that Chris did what he was accused of doing, and yet he's still signed and releasing albums.

It always made me sad that I didn't get to see where he was headed. Because he was really really beginning to take off.

Damns. There's some timeless songs that flopped in their time.
I guess this is one.

"Forever" is undeniable though.

Its  kinda the blueprint for Jason Dafuckno and all those other Urban guys wanting to go Pops :omgwatshappening:

sad. His music would definitely be a lot different

This hard image and rapping he tries to give is more than cringe worthy :dead: just trash

I just feel like nobody actually anticipates Chris Brown albums. People just play the music, cause it is catchy and trendy. But it is not like people be dehyrdrating to get that new Chris Brown record. He does not create momentum musically.

Even Justin, Nicki, hell Miguel get me excited for their releases. Chris... yh a new bunch of trendy songs.
