But then looking at Ne-Yo, Trey Songz, Mario or Jermih... His comp' really makes him look like he is GREAT.

No Mario has a decent discography

He does but pop culture/entertainment wise he is boring as fuck.

He's not boring he's just overlooked

Chris Brown always had an enormous amount of talent and charisma. I totally get the MJ comparison. I really think had he not turned into the poster child for domestic violence he would have been one of the biggest stars we'd seen in our lifetime. Very close to Michael status.

I mean his career still managed to survive something that most of us thought it wouldn't. That says a lot. And yes R. Kelly had the same experience, but the difference is that there was no smoking gun in Robert's case. We had cold hard proof that Chris did what he was accused of doing, and yet he's still signed and releasing albums.

It always made me sad that I didn't get to see where he was headed. Because he was really really beginning to take off.
sad. His music would definitely be a lot different

This hard image and rapping he tries to give is more than cringe worthy :dead: just trash
!!!

Why is this fag gang affiliated now

He's a wreck

Herb.

The insane thing about Chris is that although his talent is comparable to MJ, his style really isn't. You have many male celebrities like Justin or Usher who take so many tricks and tips from Michael, but Chris came in krumping , back flipping, doing all sorts of crazy new mess but with that same amazing ENERGY that Michael brought to the table. I think that is what makes him amazing to me and really sets him apart.

Such a shame that he put a ceiling over his own damn career.

yummy

I don't even think he was on his way to being this MJ jr y'all are imagining tbh

its just not believable sdddd almost immediately after threatening someone and sending "goons" out, he's crying the next day on Instagram cuz no one likes him. n

Just Dropped In To See What Condition My Condition Was In

No. And  Chris isn't a good songwriter or producer. Yeah, I said it. He rehashes the same tired dance moves and there's no growth whatsoever within him or his music. He will NEVER be on MJ's or Pac's level. And I mean NEVER. He doesn't even have half of the gift that the both of them have.
I am scarred, so fucking scarred
These are the scars of me
The very fucking scars of me
This is my tragic heart

I agree to an extent. MJ also had a rough patch in his career where he was scrutinized more than he was praised and Pac definitely had his share of controversy. I think once Chris really bounces back, he can be highly respected and considered one of the greats, though he'll never be as big as MJ or 2Pac.

I thought he bounced back with Dueces? Wasn't that a hit?

I'm just not seeing him in any genius/innovator lane tbh. He makes radio fodder, has an ear for hooks and was able to drive a car and beat Rihanna's ass at the same time.

Other than that...yeah :hmph:

ddddddd

I'm just saying it could very well be a possibility someday since the two artists I mentioned went through controversial situations where people kinda turned their backs on them. I think Chris could still have a shot at being revered by the public if he gets really focused and mature. He has the talent and creativity IMO.

!!! that's what's confusing me, all this "MJ! talented" talk doesn't make sense cause before he got booked he was just some nigga who could dance and had trendy songs produced by T Pain. No one was gassing him like that.

yea he would've been a worldwide Superstar, but I think people forget how huge MJ really was. Even "huge" is an understatement :dead:

Well when he first came out he was being called baby MJ alot so he could have rode that wave.

Plus he was really wholesome at the time so people were more willing to root for him.

Chris was never really special musically

He just knows what a hit sounds like

Not sure how far that takes you when you're trying to become a legend

He is a worldwide superstar. And he would not be any bigger. I don't think he would have been giving Adele, Taylor Swift tease tbh...

If anything, those head-lines made him known to an entirely new audience, that never heard of him.
