Quote from: element on April 09, 2018, 03:12:00 AMI think some people confuse being annoying with being extroverted. A lot of people just love to hear themselves talk

Like RuPaul and Oprah. I mean, I don't know them personally, but I think a real introvert wouldn't be able to do the things they do. Well Michael was an introvert as well and he still did his thing. Some people are able to "perform" for whatever their job/career requires, but when they are at home, etc. they could be quiet as a mouse and not wanting to go clubbing and mess.We did a personality test at my job for fun and my managers were really shocked that I came back as an introvert personality, cuz they feel as if I'm the life of the office. But my best friend knows how I am down to a science - when I don't know a group of people, I am extremely quiet. Based on what I've heard, that sometimes leads people to believe I am something I am not (stuck up, too good, etc. ) But once I am warmed up to them, I get very warm and friendly.Yes, but if it's 50/50 like with Michael, then it's neither introverted nor extroverted, IMO. It seems like a balancing method to cope with their job that has to do with being around tons of people.I mean, it's not a competition of who's more introverted , but someone like Oprah saying "I'm introverted" kind of takes things away from people who really spend weeks or months being alone and being fine with it PLUS hating being in crowded places etc., if you know what I mean.Yeah, there could be different levels to it. Being in crowded places creeps me the fuck out. It's one reason I put music to the side - I'd never want to perform in some hot, overcrowded club. And that's something you kinda have to do if you're making club music. I had to really come to terms with the fact that even though I love music and the creative process, I am not a "performer" personality. I'm a textbook INFJ.https://www.16personalities.com/infj-personality Being real with myself helped me to go into another direction with the app. People always come to me for advice and inspiration . I'm a giver down.My best friend hated the fact that I disliked walking through big crowds. Like at the mall, I become tense when I'm around a lot of people at one time. If I hear people laughing as I walk by, I get defensive. But that's because of my childhood. aww
