I just don't see the use in discrediting artist's achievements based on WHEN they released

it's more accessible, but it's actually HARDER to sell music now days

it's oversaturated, you don't get paid, and you don't have a "target" audience anymore

everything would match up if you take into account the differences of each era

and the MJ fans mad at 90's/00's

I happy for Cardi, but I'm sorry, I don't see this as an achievement when artists of the past didn't have these opportunities so easily. Album tracks weren't available for purchase like they are today. Digital music has people thinking today's artists are achieving some rare milestones. I don't see it.

I'm sorry but this isn't impressive. Just like when all the tracks off More Life charted on the Hot 100 last year  streaming has really dumbed down everyone's perception of chart success. All it takes is a viral challenge and suddenly you're in the Top 10 of the Hot 100  I remember a couple years ago Taylor Swift got all her tracks from her album to debut on the Hot 100 with only sales.. now THAT'S a book.
