I happy for Cardi, but I'm sorry, I don't see this as an achievement when artists of the past didn't have these opportunities so easily. Album tracks weren't available for purchase like they are today. Digital music has people thinking today's artists are achieving some rare milestones. I don't see it.

This is a BIT true; no Shade to Queen Card?

But i always think about like the days of NSN and TBIM albums releasing?im sure tracks would have been perched in a similar fashion

Oh wow I didn't think of it like this, you're so right

it goes both ways tho. U should know as well as anyone that a lot of these girls STILL won?t do what a lot of our faves did with album sales and organic radio slayage

Who cares what trolls say :dead: we know what it is. But in THIS day n age, i won?t shit on these achievements because they still aren?t necessarily easy to snatch up. Not at all

Much easier than years past, but NOT easy.

It?s really not about comparing it to accomplishments of the past, it?s about comparing to the artist?s contemporaries.

Besides, every generation is supposed to push beyond where the previous laid the groundwork.

If that?s the case, we would be arguing that Whitney, Mariah, and MJ?s sales were only because everybody had cars and back in the times before them, peoples were riding horses or people didn?t have radios, or CD players, or tape players, or whatever.

Sovereign.

Can honestly just celebrate CARDI?! :uhh: In fucking PEACE?!

Well.. I'm sure if Bey or Rih or any girl received top notch streaming payola from their labels, they too could get all tracks from their album to chart on the Hot 100

Nnnn

I'm sorry but this isn't impressive. Just like when all the tracks off More Life charted on the Hot 100 last year  :dead: streaming has really dumbed down everyone's perception of chart success. All it takes is a viral challenge and suddenly you're in the Top 10 of the Hot 100  :kii: I remember a couple years ago Taylor Swift got all her tracks from her album to debut on the Hot 100 with only sales.. now THAT'S a book.

Faggot bey already did it when all of Lemonade charted. It?s been 2 years since and plenty of albums by female artists. No one else got remotely close before Cardi.

Bow the fuck down bitch.
