Netflix is not moving forward with a second season of crime drama Seven Seconds, created and executive produced by The Killing?s Veena Sud. With the cancellation, Seven Seconds is expected to be submitted in the category of Limited Series-Drama for Emmy consideration.

No decision for the cancellation was given but Netflix usually stacks up proprietary viewership data against the price of a show. Seven Seconds, from Fox 21 TV Studios, was an expensive high-end drama which was overall well received by critics, with a 77% rating on Rotten Tomatoes

They have no problem renewing Lemony Snickets.Which probably cost at least twice as much to produce.

Lemony was already guaranteed 4 seasons based on the books and that show is so good. I'm guessing that the show was canceled based on a technicality. Where else could they have went with that story?
