They're no different from the rest of us tbh, we all have our own demons and mental breakdowns are even worse in more opressive/stressful job environments, abusive households etc etc  but no one is there for them.

It's not like they're always to blame either but their legend/icon status shouldn't grant such protection or even immunity to harsh criticism/hate/rage for their own mistakes and actions.

I understand the urge to defend these people no matter what though, because you invest so much time, money, and effort of your own into them and their journey that whenever this kind of stuff happens you feel so miserable cause you did it all for a shithead.
