She gave Usher & N Sync their first big gigs by having them opening up her VR tour back in 97 and both acts said they learned how to entertain through that opportunity and by watching her.
Destiny's Child sat up at that tribute talking about they used to watch her video's and performances as kids
Justin & Britney were Janet stans in their earlier career, J-Lo was her damn back up dancer.
Aaliyah was always vocal about her influence and admiration for Janet, Ciara is a stan, so is Tinashe.
The biggest pop and r&b acts of the last decade have all talked about watching Janet perform or being influenced by her video's in some way.
You don't have to like her or her music but you can't blindly deny her influence and say her blueprint wasn't or isn't relevant.
