This video is great, but then I looked at the lyrics and.. ugh.

He really isn't saying anything in the song nnnn. Great video, but the song could've been better.

I really sat with this visual over the last few days and I?m triggered by this reimagining ...or lack thereof of Black death.

I peeped a few people posting this. I understand being triggered to some extent but I also think that the media (social included) has been instrumental in sensationalizing Black death. At least this fictional and used to illustrate that point I guess? What ya think?

The number 1 debut is in the bag according to the predictions and billboard ran a report on this streaming monster :gorlonfire: :loose2when:

I?m sorry guys but now that I heard the song without being disgusted by the video I actually use profusely.

Added to my proud to be mixed black playlist with.

Kanye - alright
Bey - Formation
Solange - don?t touch my hair
Solange - Fubu
Jamila Woods - VRY BLK
Bey & Kendrick - Freedom
Kendrick - damn
Seinabo Sey - I Owe You Nothing

:gorlonfire: :gorlonfire:
im surprised you use Bey?s ?Freedom?

yummy

I'm watching again and I really don't fuck with the idea of packaging America's problem with violence as a black on black issue. You're supposed to be holding a mirror up to America and none of the aggressors in the video are white? Makes me wonder what audience this video was really made for.

And I think a lot of this praise is just people being desperate to find someone to fill Kanye's void as their favorite "rapper with a message" or whatever the fuck he was to them...
