BENT.DOESNT.REMEMBER.WHITNEY

I don't either.

Alot of us witnessed the birth of Britney's career and were old enough to remember it and everything she's done up til now so what Bentley says makes perfect sense.

Me neither, maybe Ray thinks that in someway it downplays her success :dead:
He doesn't understand LIVING through an era and experiencing it are two different things.
Bent is more likely to understand Britney's impact at 11/12 then Whitney's peak at 2/3 years old.
And he ain't the only one.
you don?t understand that that?s not even the discussion
He didn?t say Britney was the biggest artist he ever understood was big
all of this is being added in after the fact
Whether he knew or not at the time of 2/3 years old he DID see an artist and era that was bigger than Britney?s
and so did I and Laz
so now what?

j

But he's never seen The Bodyguard.

And it doesn't matter if he lived through it if he doesn't remember it.....hence saying Britney was the biggest female success he's personally ever witnessed.

he didn?t have to see the movie
There was also a soundtrack that has sold like 30 million worldwide
and a song that stayed at #1 for 14 weeks
I didn?t buy BOMT or Oops but I knew they were huge
Bentley didn?t SAY he didn?t remember her why are y?all trying so hard to speak for him?

If he didn't even see the movie what makes you think he thought about a soundtrack?

Of course you remembered BOTM and Oops. You had to be at least 10 or 11 years old by then   :kii:

Bentley did not PERSONALLY WITNESS the Bodyguard era as a child, and you keep trying to argue against that. You can't argue against HIS reality. Nigga

the SINGLES were all over the radio and TV? He didn?t HAVE to think about the soundtrack
He definitely witnessed the era stop trying to find excuses
:plzstop:

It doesn't matter how many of her songs were on radio if he wasn't listening to them.

The way the point is flying over your head.

:shannonsmissing:

it does because it?s not like he could PREDICT when it was gonna be played. He heard them and he just admitted to it lolz
Now YOU are wrong
:kii: :kii: :kii: :kii: :kii:

huh?
poor baby

We all live through things we aren't aware of. I'm sure there some type of big event happening that I'm not really paying attention to.

Don't really know where Ray was trying to go with that.

You can reminisce and relive something you don't remember or didn't personally experience/witness.

Hearing a song doesn't translate into "living through" or "experiencing" an era.

Bent already said what I thought
it?s over Drais. You?re wrong lolz

No that?s not what I said. Remembering hearing the songs and ppl singing the songs is witnessing an era

Laz' did you realise how big of a STAR Whitney was back then?
Did you have a sense of how much she was selling?
Did you come to the conclusion at 6 years old she was the biggest star in the world?

I was pretty aware. My great aunt used to stay talking about her and sweating like a pig in concert. Tears!
oh damn
There goes that

!!!!!!

Growing up in a household being exposed to an artist is something totally different from willingly indulging yourself into someone's music. Coming home from school to watch the vidyas on TRL, watching award shows to see the performances, listening to the cassettes and cds, collecting posters outta magazines.

This brings me back to what Jayden was saying earlier about living through something versus actually experiencing it.
