SZA Confirms Her Vocal Cords Are On The Mend, Will Perform at Firefly
After a scary stretch that took her off the road due to swollen vocal cords, SZA is thrilled to report that her voice is on the mend -- and that she's getting back onstage ASAP.
The CTRL singer had to take a leave of absence from the TDE Championship Tour last month and tweeted that her voice was "permanently injured" after a year of strenuous travel and performing.
She's since consulted with medical professionals and sought treatment in numerous cities throughout her time on the road, and tweeted her thanks for their help on Sunday (June 17) before confirming that her Firefly festival set would proceed as planned.
"I?m blessed to say my voice is not permanently damaged and i?ve been working daily to get back," she tweeted. "Slowly but surely."
