Can someone who thinks that brandy can't get a top 40 hit explain why they think that way?  Rays ? Mays ?

I never said she can't get one. The possibility is always there, but Brandy is pretty much a 40 year old Black female R&B singer not signed to a major label.

Let me know how many of them have perched in the top 40 in the last 10 years.

I'm just being realistic. The days of big hits & topping the charts are over.

Two Eleven was a Billboard #1 album and produced a top 10 hit almost 20 years into her career. Some fans!

Two Eleven only charted #1 on R&B same with Put It Down
which peaked at #65 on the Hot 100
a fan doesn?t have to believe their favorite artist is popular
as long as we all are supporting Bran there should be no problem

We can support and want her to be successful on the charts as well. I feel like a lot of you (not you in particular) are trying to drag the ppl who think it's possible to get a hit on the charts. 

Put it down peaked at 65 on rnb radio alone. It was NEVER sent to pop.  Imagine if it had been sent to pop stations as well and  the damage it could have done with spins from pop radio.

It def would have at least been a top 40 hit and I refuse to believe anything else but

I'm undecided on whether or not Brandy could do damage with new music.

If PID were released in the streaming era, it would have easily cracked the Top 40.

If Brandy wants it, she needs to film the video before she releases the song so we're not waiting 3+ months again, build up her relationships with Spotify and other platforms so she'll be added to playlists, book performances on talk and late night shows, etc.

I want her to smash, but I can't see her doing any of those things, honestly. She's not hungry anymore.
