I can understand what he is getting at but his issue definitely more multi-factoral.

If anything light skinned rappers get labeled as ?soft? but I guess
that doesn?t negate what he said either tho, IMO. Racial ambiguity helps in EVERY area and every field, but especially entertainment because people want to relate to you more than anything.

He?s saying with racial ambiguity, there?s a greater chance that let?s say 6-7 different people with completely different backgrounds/ethnicities will look at a Drake and say ?wow, this part of him reminds me of myself, or hmm i kinda look like him?

Drake could easily shave that beard off and walk around certain countries and blend right in, in a way that Wale can NOT.

I just watched the video. I was expecting some sort of "woe is me, fuck deez light skin niggas" rant.

Boy lol

Wale just kinda stated facts - he said it helps in all walks of life.

When people are unable to pinpoint what someone is exactly it makes it harder for them to place them into one box. And if you're not in just one box, you have an opportunity to stop and mingle with a couple other boxes.

GRAND ETERNAL SUPREME

v

why is this even a question anymore

can we make 'should all white people die' the next annoyingly obvious asked question?

Of course he didn?t but in his profession....

Kendrick, Wayne, Kanye, Future  Asap, Rick Ross, Meek...

:diddraispoot:

Drake has arguably achieved more mainstream success than all of these people.
!!!!!

like...
IDK when you include Wayne and Kanye
I mean Drake JUST started getting #1 singles in the past couple years...
drake is bigger without a doubt

+ his first #1 was almost a decade ago...

And Wale is usually pretentious and annoying, but I don?t see the problems with what he said here
