So informative

It's basically talking about how childhood neglect, abuse whether sexual, emotional or physical during childhood, can actually change the brain during development, not just mentally but also bring on other diseases.

I watched this a few months ago. She really hit the nail on the head.

A lot of people need to hear this, especially Black folks.

I recently started therapy and he touched on a lot of this.

People are always so quick to say, "Stop dwelling on the past. Let it go", but our past is what shapes us as adults.

I firmly believe that you cannot be a whole adult until you're able to deal with and make peace with childhood trauma,
but unfortunately for us Black folks most times that just means sweeping it under the rug or praying about it.

Thanks for posting!
I think there was an episode of Dr Drew about this and he tried to convince DMX to not beat his children. Not sure if he convinced him tho
