Sharon.

A battle for #1 appears to be shaping up on this week?s Top 50 chart, with the surprise drop by The Carters (aka Beyonc? and Jay-Z) giving the new album from Capitol?s 5 Seconds of Summer a run for its money. Both The Carters (a Roc Nation/UMG-Parkwood/Columbia co-release) and 5SOS are currently on track to do about 120k.

But there?s a wild-card factor to consider: XXXtentacion, whose death in a 6/18 shooting has caused a rush of support at both streaming services and digital retail. The late rapper has returned to the Top 10 at Spotify and has four of the Top 5 songs at Apple Music?will this activity be sufficiently intense and sustained to make XXX a force on the chart as well?

Another lingering question mark is the impact of Tidal, which had The Carters as an exclusive over their opening weekend?they seem to have some juice over there?and which has been the subject of no small amount of controversy regarding its reported numbers. Then there?s Spotify, which appears to have kept Jay and Bey off its most trafficked real estate as a consequence of the Tidal exclusive. How seriously will these two streameries affect their total?

Here's how the week's top debuts are looking.

The Carters (Roc Nation/UMG-Parkwood/Columbia) 115-125k, 72-77k album
5 Seconds of Summer (Capitol) 113-118k, 92-97k
Nas (Mass Appeal/Def Jam) 70-80k, 40-50k
Christina Aguilera (RCA) 68-73k, 62-67k
Jay Rock (TDE/Interscope) 24-27k, 6-7k

I'm sure it'll be 300k once the Tidal streams are added

So does HDD and billboard count tidals numbers ?

I'm surprised The Carters numbers are so low.

:ummwhat:

Xtina's going to do just about the same as Lotus (give or take), not bad.

These numbers are terrible. People really don't want this duet mess.

Luckily this is credited as The Carters so it wont ruin her streak of #1 albums whenever she decides to release another solo one.

yes. but they don't do a daily tracking total like the others do.
so their numbers are always a mystery

Guys, Tidal isn?t factored in yet..

Boy..those fake streams

No problem though. Her solo album will triple these numbers with the proper rollout.

 :uhh: :uhh: :uhh:

Tidal will over inflate them per normal lol. My timeline hasn't really be raving about the album like I thought they would . I like the project though it's nothing to write home about . Can't always give a blockbuster mess !
