Janet Jackson Returns to the Hot 100 With Daddy Yankee Collab 'Made For Now'

Janet Jackson scores her 41st entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated Sept. 1) as her collaboration with Daddy Yankee, ?Made For Now,? debuts at No. 88.

?Made For Now? arrives with 3.7 million U.S. streams and 20,000 downloads sold in its first full tracking week (ending Aug. 23), according to Nielsen Music, prompting a No. 8 entry on the Digital Song Sales chart. It also debuts at No. 9 on Hot R&B Songs and No. 36 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.

Notably, the track is Jackson's 50th entry on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, which launched in 1958.

Jackson last appeared on the Hot 100 in 2015, with ?No Sleeep,? featuring J. Cole, which peaked at No. 63. Prior to that, ?Feedback? reached No. 19 in 2008.

Jackson has one of the most impressive resumes in Hot 100 history. Of her 41 total entries, the singer has earned 10 No. 1s (tied with Stevie Wonder for eighth-most all-time) and 27 top 10s (tied with Elton John for, also, eighth-most all-time), dating back to her debut chart hit ?Young Love? in 1982.

As for Daddy Yankee, the track is his third entry on the Hot 100 since his massive hit ?Despacito,? with Luis Fonsi featuring Justin Bieber, spent 16 weeks at No. 1. ?Made For Now? earns the Latin star his 10th career Hot 100 hit.

QuoteThree years ago, Mariah Carey filled The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas nearly to capacity on opening night of her career retrospective residency. This year, insiders are deeply concerned box office sales for the July 5 opening performance of her "Butterfly Returns" residency, scheduled to run for three months.

"It's a disaster," a source tells the New York Post. "Scalpers bought a bunch of the tix and are freaking out."

According to the source, Mariah's former manager, Stella Bulochnikov, had planned to book dates at a venue with a smaller capacity "so they could keep announcing sold-out shows ...Instead, they put her back in Caesars with 4,300 seats."
