Following Andy Cohen?s 50th birthday serenade from John Mayer, rumors have been flying around about the two dating. 

However, the Watch What Happens Live host recently sat down with CNN to settle the score. Although he wasn't surprised to hear that people thought the two were together, he confirmed the speculations to be false.

"Listen, we have a very sweet friendship, and we are together all the time," Cohen said. "I think that I was not surprised [by the speculation] because we also have a great love for each other. So, it just seems like the obvious assumption."

Cohen is happily single, but when asked what he is looking for in a partner, the star joked that he?s looking for someone like John Mayer, then amended: ?Someone strong, independent, smart, who has their own thing going on.?
