I'm so interested to see if she FINALLY gets it. Rihanna & Beyonce (or their team) stay in tuned in whats going on with our culture and it show all through out their music and imaging. Also, they both stay in tune with their fan base wants.  We all get a sense of who they are through their music, with ciara it's not the same feeling.  Her music hasn't really showed much growth in some years.

I recently re-read this review billboad did on Jackie and they were so on point:

Maybe Ciara is at her best when her music's carefree -- but on Jackie, it sometimes seems like she doesn't care. Perhaps she was afraid to confront the realities of true heartache, or perhaps she has simply moved on. Good for her, but not as good for listeners: Jackie feels like a missed opportunity for a talented artist to connect with fans in a new way.

And with this new Megan Markle  level of perfectionism she is giving, i dont see ciara letting us in & connecting with us anytime soon.

Ok I will give you this. 100% and it didnt sound as if you were coming from a hateful place making your point.

But look at it from this angle, maybe she is doing this, this era because she has a happier reality to "face" this time and that seems to be when she thrives. I know it probably took a lot for her to try to open up about the future situation because she didnt want people(him included) to see her down and out. But with Russell, she may not have a problem letting people in because it's something she's proud of. Hence people asking about "that prayer" BS, her response can be through the music example, Level Up, I love Myself, etc...(And I peeped the tag from her publicist that said "Unconditional Love") that may be the route she is going, and this time it could possibly work. All about perception.
