Brandy is currently very busy in the studio recording music. She is also taking care of business as executive producer (a first for her) of Zo? Moon, and preparing for the buildup to the premiere. It's not as if she is sitting at home eating Cheetos! lol

i think most of us wish that she was gearing up for the premiere of a new music video over a new tv show

I don't think she really wants it anymore, I mean she already reached her childhood dreams of becoming a megastar and working with her idol. 

Whitney even stated in her last interview with Oprah that she was at home chilling with her millions thinking that there was nothing else for her to accomplish, I think Brandy feels the same way especially with the current climate of R&B music.

She pretty much said this in "Should I  Go".  I think after 3 failed projects that she's over it.

Brandy herself said things were gonna be different. Two falsely announced 4 years breaks in a row (8 fckn years in total) has us hangin by a thin thread. Especially with these meager ass "eras"...

She gave us false hopes with #Summer2014, which turned out to be literally nothing. And now she uploaded a vidya declaring an EP would drop Sep/Oct, and hasn't even uttered a quantum of info bout the project since and it's November by now.

Tbh, I think she feels this way, too.  It's not that she's not passionate about music. She records a lot and seems to get excited about the music she's creating.  It's that she has no passion for the music industry, because whenever it's time to wrap it all up and put something out, she goes awol.

It does feel this way with her

Yeah, I went back to the rapping and Bran'Nu when I read this.  And now, of course, she hates it.  Kind of like Human. 

I think the problem is she has been trying to get back to where she was in the '90s, but there is no going back.  This is the new normal so she may as well make the music she really wants to make.  That's what she said she's doing, so that's why I am willing to wait.

I don't know why my faves are like this.  Michael was like this.  Something he liked one week, he would hate the next.  Next thing you know, YEARS have passed.  He competed with his past as well.

She hasn't released a stellar album since Afrodisiac, no shade.

I think she needs to go back to her original formula of sticking to ONE producer and really developing a CHEMISTRY and putting out a COHESIVE album.

Not some random collection of  songs by different producers and writers.

She has a gift. It's so frustrating to see her just toss it aside.

Well, she's been sticking with DJ camper for the most part and has already talked about not worrying about charts and sales this time (two eleven) and is currently making the music she wants to make, so we'll see.
