The reason they dont call hetereosexuality a lifestyle is cause we are forced into certain biological truths resulting from heterosexuality so developing behaviors feelings emotions that collide with that can be considered taking a different path or in this case choosing a different lifestyle

We still posses free will and despite what we feel and how we react
We can still choose to live within those biological truths if we wanted
