There is an underlying (and not so underlying) element of competitiveness that we have in our community which doesn't exist in a lot other minority groups.

It's not so much about someone blatantly thinking or saying, "I'm not going to support her", it's more about, "Oh, she think she cute cuz she got her own house now? Lemme upload pics of my new car lolz"

A lot of it's linked to materialism IMO. No one spends money on shit like Black people do, but we're also the poorest demographic in terms of income.
