But I think that actually worked against her a bit.

She may have been too believable.

Even now, I shouldn't be surprised but I am surprised with how kind and humble she is as a person.

For sure. Not to make it race issue but being perceived as Lesbian, especially a butch one :dead: wouldn't have opened a lot of opportunities in Black cinema, especially in the 90s. It's a shame.
