Let me spell it out for you.

Having association with a hit song gives the artist more exposure, which gives them a bigger platform to get the word out about their own projects.

It's the whole reason why they do collabs in the first place. Was "Finesse" on Cardi's album? No.

Did she do the remix for fun? No.

Did she do the remix to call more attention to her own projects by reaching out to Bruno's fanbase? Yes.

Nicki isn't some up and coming artist sis.
If she needed help getting the exposure to the masses this narrative could work.

But Nicki has been promoting her coming album for a while now. Throwing out singles here and there to see what sticks w/ the people. She's been telling the world she's coming for a minute now, and even pushed the 'lbum back a bit. 
Either the gorls are gonna buy "Queen" or they wont.
