An album peaking at #1 for 5 weeks... but selling 1 million could be positioned higher than an album peaking at #25 and selling 4 million. Obviously the 4 million album did better in actual sales. But Billboard is using the points system to structure the chart. So I don't think it holds much weight.Yeah a Billboard list would most likely be based on Billboard statsI think it's more recently that other things have become more heavily weighted in calculation - like digital sales, etc. etc.
