You're so hellbent on proving that Lil Shim was more than a slut that you fail to acknowledge that putting lyrics like "We're all about sex drugs and cash" is NOT a good influence.

That's what my point is. As far as her deeper meanings, and low key fist pumping, etc. that's for her fans to honor and acknowledge.

I already acknowledged that some of her lyrics send wrong messages, but you can?t acknowledge her feminist contribution albeit.
or here?

Afro even in self objectification was something entirely different, a woman using her sexual prowess to her advantage and not being ashamed of it, then giving you explicit details is the same power woman got from calling themselves bitches, and what niggers are trying to do nigger. The fact that she had this unapologetic approach to sexual freedom, combined with her sex appeal and high fashion, and then to drag niggas on wax with as much arrogance and fuck you you attitude, the self objectification would just be another tactic.

Keyword is "overlooked".

We're discussing impact, not intent.

Thanks for posting.
I thought you were discussing self-objectification?

Yh maybe back in 2004, the main rappers we have now are all past that
The popular "IN" rappers, Drake, Kendrick, J.Cole especially, Big Sean don't even rap about that mess
All of Jay Z, Kanye & Nas most recent albums have been more socially conscious.

Eh

There are still plenty of "rappers' with huge social media followings who glamorize drugs, rape, suicide etc etc. These are the gurs that are influencing the youth.

Like, get the fuck REAL.

The bitch was a slut. It worked so labels started pushing other artists out there like her. Period
No shade but she was a slut in real life, not some slut-for-pay either..

hfgg

What happened to all those female empowerment posts from yesterday in that Kim Kardashian thread, or does it only apply to white women?

And Kim definitely inspired black feminism coming off the 90s into the early 2000s.
