I think in many conversations, for some reason it always goes back to the White population.

Person A: "Normalization of crime and materialism through hip-hop is something that clearly affects Blacks the most. I'm wondering wha..."
Person B: "HOL THE FUCK UP! What about White people doe?! They shoot up schools and stuff!"

Person A: "There's not enough Black businesses. We need more money circulating in our community if we want to reall..."
Person B: "Now HOL UP. I dunno a way to tie this to White people but Imma find a damn way. Just shut up and gimme a minute".

I get it, but these trucks are being thrown into Black communities. What's causing people in this neighborhood to take the bait and what can be done to stop it is I what I feel should be top priority for discussion.

I mean the story is out  we are very disenfranchised but only a criminal mind would seek this truck out in truth

my friends say oh no i cant stay at a shelter
or oh no i cannot ride the bus i need a ride everywhere

theres no justification for them squatting in someone elses home or stealing a car

But are we just gonna continue talking about these grand plots they have or actually get to work on the communities and building?

I hear so much about White oppression and the White community these days and not nearly as much about ways in which the Black community can work to counter what's going on.

A thread is made about Lebron James opening a school for at-risk kids (which was fucking huge to me - a shining example of the initiative that I want to see more of within the community) and it's paid dust.... but a thread about Whitey being on the prowl again gets us all riled up and excited.

It becomes some sort of anger fest, which kinda goes in circles and leads nowhere IMO. That's just the way I see it.

I strongly believe the biggest conversation right now should be money/business building for the Black community.
I'm least concerned about some grand plot that is out of my control and more concerned about things that are more within the community's control.

Black people are still PISSED -- thats just what it is.

I understand what should be important right now. But anger trumps everything, unfortunately. And I think currently black people are PISSED at the daily news of us being SHOT.

It's different from the 1960s where Dr King convinced us that peacefulness would move us forward. I wish we had someone like him again, but we don't. Until that happens, we're going to be pissed as fuck and holding rallys. I think this moment is time is more REAL than the 1960s anyway. Yeah, we had 'equality' but it was fake as fuck.
