Bey release self titled 2.5 years after 4 like she did with all her previous albums and she was "scared", "desperate to secure a hit" and now that Rih has taken 3 years w/ no album in site she's "taking her time to find the right material".

Like the gur is fucking flopping. She's been releasing singles, videos, doing promo, endorsing products, perched on The Voice etc all year long.

Ppl say Bey HAD to use the "tactic" as if it's just GUARANTEED for success
ppl could have easily listened to the iTunes previews and ignored the hell out of Bey
but they didn't because it is a great album, Bey has a loyal fanbase
and the general public buys her albums every time to fit in

It's not guaranteed, but her team knew what they were doing.

'Bore' had just underperformed and they were not about to risk a legitimate flop. So they pulled this surprise mess, which was actually pretty safe.

If she did indeed flop they would have an excuse, but if it paid off then there would be praise & hoopla for days.

She was afraid to release the conventional way because that would have been the true risk.
