The third annual Black Music Honors is set for August 16 in Nashville, Tennessee and will celebrate the careers and achievements of Bobby Brown, Faith Evans, Dallas Austin and Bebe and Cece Winans.

Black Music Honors is a two-hour special that will highlight artists and musicians that influenced and impacted the music industry. Bobby Brown will receive the R&b Soul Music Icon Award for his worth that spans 40 years in entertainment as a whole and 32 years as a solo artist.

Gospel legends Bebe and Cece Winans will be joint recipients of the Gospel Music Icon Award. Producer and label executive Dallas Austin will receive the Music Innovator Icon Award and Faith Evans will be awarded as the Urban Music Icon.

?The vision of the Black Music Honors is to recognize the trailblazers in African American music who have paved the way for the artists of today. Many of these artists have never received their much-deserved recognition,? said Don Jackson, founder, and CEO of Central City Productions.

The show will be hosted by Rickey Smiley and LeToya Luckett and will be broadcast from Sept 8th to 30th of this year. Ticket proceeds will benefit the opening of the National Museum of African American Music.
