But Missy will always be THAT gur anyway. Highly respected and still influential/sought after.

I just feel like she?s in a place where she feels like she?s done it all though.
And she has.

From rap to being a songwriter and producer

She?s on another level.

!!!

And I enjoyed both "WTF" and "I'm Better"

Her bars are still on point and her creativity/visuals can't even be questioned.

I agree!!!

Freemala Harris

Things have changed but this community is still dumb

I feel like the hotep gors & co would try to treat her like Tevin Campbell if she ever did

Young MA made it but there's still a lot of shade there. She even talks about the backlash

Her finding a good sound would be most important

But I dunno if I'd wanna hear about her going down on Tweet and mess
msD<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

im not saying she needs to release a single called I LOVE PUSSY LMAO!

but she needs to stop pussyfooting

GIRL, be yourself! shit!

no1 cares. STUD self
lllmlm

Some people just don't want to be labeled . It's America, so once she comes out a bit she'll automatically be a "lesbian rapper".

Down with the LGBT crew! Are you performing at Pride, girl? lol Yasss!!!

I don't think she's scared or anything - just seems that she prefers the ambiguity when it comes to her craft. It's understandable. America loves dwelling on someone's sexuality once it's been put out there. They wouldn't demonize her, but they'd definitely find her a new label immediately.
rffggggggghhhhhhhhhh
r y?all in here tou ...

I'm the same way at my job. I mean I'm sure no one there thinks I'm straight as a bone :omf: , but I don't have discussions about my sexuality either. And I usually give an ambiguous mess when I'm talking with people about relationships. A lot of "they"s, etc.

Woo! Hey ya'll! Gay pride! Das me! Rainbow power!

My job is far from intolerant - we have pictures of from my coworker's gay wedding on the fridge in the break area, with well-wish messages from everyone lol (predominately White office setting)....so it's not about being scared.

I dunno, I just get why Missy keeps things the way she does.
!!!! Omg

I make it a point not to discuss it like that, because then that?s all anyone ever wants to talk about and then here come the ignorant ass questions :kii:

And you?re absokutely right. Every tweet and article from now on, would begin with ?the Lesbian raptress, 45 ...?

I don?t think there is any album.

If missy wanted to she could come back with her old formula. Singing and rapping.

Her last big hit was the j Cole record with her singing.
!!!! I don?t think there ever was an album

🦚

Rappers just get boring after like the 4th album. Even the greats.

Eminem is dry puss and been for a while

Jay, Nas etc. all their album are boring now.

I can?t even imagine listening to a new album by my favorite rappers like ghostface, Scarface or dmx. No thanks. I?ll just listen to the classics.

Ddd true. The way she'd get nominated for dyke awards, get invited to LGBT events and have articles written about how she's a lesbian rap pioneer and shit.

yummy

I don't really remember a period where Missy's music didn't have sexual themes. Her production choices, visuals and the fact that she wasn't your traditional femme woman is what set her apart from Kim and Foxy, but her music was just as hypersexualized. Sis has a whole song about men not lasting long in bed. :dead:

She just needs a new source of inspiration because hearing her attempt a Migos-esque flow on those single she put out a few years ago was cringeworthy

:udontlookok:

missy's done as far as being a hit making rapper
the music is never going to be like it used to because she's not young anymore and she doesn't smoke anymore

Hatsumomo

All of her music sounds the same she?s the Hip Hop version of Monica which is why they mesh so well.

Her rap music?
Her albums don't even sound similar
And the r&b records she did for 702, Total, and SWV in the 90s sound NOTHING like the r&b records she did for Fantasia, Jazmine, and Monica in the 2000s.
