I?m very different around my nieces and nephews.

I don?t curse. They get louder I go into Janet whisper mode. They ain?t driving me up the wall. Only time I lash them a bit is when they fight or argue with eachother. Not here for that.

I went out for a brunch with a friend earlier and this lady could not control her litter of bastards one kept begging for french fries, the other wouldn't turn his ipad down and I'm sure the oldest one was a bit slow

I usually threaten to leave, tell them this will be their last visit or to put them out. Works everytime.

I really hate how these kids all grab their iPad and go into separate corners ...do people ever watch tv / shows together anymore 

And the parents love it.  Woo! Quiet a time! A moment for me!

I adore children. I practically raised my niece and nephew since birth especially my niece since my sister had her at a young age and we were all still living together. I was her favorite person in the house and the only one who could get her to go to sleep as an infant. I love the interactions I share with my niece and nephew. Wouldn't trade it for the world.
