It's all subjective anyway.

Some people label themselves as "light skin" because they're the lightest one in their own family and have been called that all their lives. But if they walk in public and say they're light skin, they may get a few side eyes.

And light skin isn't some protected class or country club . If no one's up in arms about someone calling themselves dark or brown skin I don't see the reason why people get bent out of shape when people call themselves light.

Dave East said he went through a few struggles being the "light skin nigga" in his neighborhood and he got a few side eyes and accusations of him lying, etc. And some who just flat out said "nigga you ain't light skin", etc. But it's all about who's looking at him.

I don't think Ludacris is "light skin" but I wouldn't sit and argue with someone who sees him like that. Many people do view him as such. It's all in the eyes.

Like I've always seen Trey Songz as "brown skinned" but then I saw a pic of him  & August Alsina and I was like wtf they're the same color.
