There?s one guy in the video who caught it from his boyfriend. He?d been using condoms for his casual encounters but thought it was OK to raw dawg it since that was his hubby and stuff.
Not everyone catches it because they?re out somewhere sniffing around Grindr. I?m sorry but I can?t trust any man that much.
!!!!!
People, especially our OWN hear these headlines and go straight into "black gay men!" "sluts!" "bareback sex!" "unfaithful!"
it's the health inequalities we face that cause the high stats, not the lack of condoms or rampant sex.
People walking around un-tested, ignorant and just not knowing they're infected are the ones spreading the disease.
We're less likely to have health insurance, access drugs to stop spreading the infection, many communities DON'T have clinics, or programmes that are dedicated to education minority groups.
Black DL men aren't getting tested because it's a "gay disease" so there's the stigma and paranoia when they DO get tested,
Medication is often expensive and a luxury for the rich, the lack of education around sexual health and lastly the stigma around getting tested in itself is a issue.
I wish black people would stop looking down blacks with so much suspicion, we already get it enough from non-blacks and white folks.
