I try to avoid confrontational people of any kind. Gay or not.

I got one gay friend and we've been friends for 25 years. He had a party a few weeks ago and most of the ppl were gay guys. Some of them started making shady comments about  him not knowing how close we are. I just sat back and listened for a few minutes. I called him over and told them to repeat what they were just saying. The way they started stuttering and shaking. I am like how you at his house drinking his liquor and eating his food and talking shit.
