It's an artist's job to keep up with trends to some extent, and put their own spin on it.

Whitney wasn't too good to hop on a Darkchild track

Michael was hee hee'ing it up over KNOCK

Am mean...it's not a new concept. Not even for the heavy hitters.

Make hot current music. Not some lazy popcorn mess.

Should Usher be calling in Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis or something? :omf:

People dragged GODni for hopping on Darkchild tracks and "tryna keep up" but he gave her some of her most memorable tea.
ppl want that SAME Confessions sound still
then they?re gonna say it?s dated
King can?t win

Right.

These gorls just want a reason to hate.
As if hes in his 50s and mess

But then gorls like Bey get a pass? okay

Vonc2002

Uhhhhh Michael was a pop artist and he always made that kinda music.  Toni has always infused that kinda music in too so that's real moot. There's a difference between experimenting with different sounds but still remaining true to u and your artistry VS hopping on trends :dead:

She dont get a pass. We talked about her too  BUT Beyonce does it better than usher.  If ur gonna hop on trends atleast attempt to elevate the shit. Sorry Usher is wack af and no one is anticipating music from him :dead:

I mean the album is actually solid AF

The Rivals,Tell Me, H2L trinity on the album is my standout

Tell Me is literally one of his best R&B works EVER

LOONA.

The snippets all sound like some Chris Brown/Trey Songz mess.

He said Michael hopped on knock and I'm saying that's the kinda music he ALWAYS made because he's a pop artist.  It wasnt about him not trying different sounds.  Michael Jackson remained true to who he was and THAT'S the difference.  It Never seemed like Michael was trying sumn just to be popular.  He brought who he was to his records. Usher doesnt have that.  He's wack
