I'll stick to my SPF 15 in the lotion for now .

It's kinda a sun protectant mess anyway.

I just like my skin to feel like it's breathing and free as possible. I tried sunscreen once years ago and it was just too heavy for me.

Everyone's skin is different

Every sunscreen is different.

which 1 do you use? and what new products are you exploring  :ATLcameo:

we haven't had our products threads in a while

For black people the best sunscreen is the Neutrogena Sheer range, it doesn't go on white, chalky and doesn't make you look ashy. And it has the best tested sun protecteion against UVA & UVB
It's sheer and light as hell, it comes in a sunstick and literally made for the face abd has 4 active chemicals
Beeswax and Sunscreen Agents
I use it everyday instead of lotion because it's just as moisturizing as well

yh it is lol
the sunrays doesn't take breaks, even during cloudy days, the sun isn't out but the rays are still penetrating through
People just make it part of their routine like brushing your teeth or putting on lotion after a showerr.

I was shocked when studies show over 70% of the ageing you see is caused by the sun.
Another big study showed a group of over 100 people wore sunscreen everyday for a year and it showed the SS gave the skin a shield and oppurtunty to repair itself and it's DNA from previous daily exposures to the sun and inadvertently decreased signs of aging by over 40%.
Black people have much more protection but not we're not immune to the sun

FlowerBomb

Not only more protection against saggy old looking skin, from but moles, skin damage and skin cancer
Besides no ones wants to look OLD before their time, and we don't have to age the same way older generations did. You could have great skin at 80, that's my point.

I know if you don't use lotion, your skin will inevitably dry out - especially during Winter months.
As in, you WILL see visible effects and even feel discomfort resulting from the lack of usage within a day or two.

But is sunscreen in that same category?
Your skin will eventually get used to the lack of lotion and start to provide it's own moisture.
So no sunscreen isn't in that category, its like with toothpaste, what's the point of using it if your not going to use it everyday? Yh your breath will smell, but toothpaste's main function isn't smells, there's a health component also associated with brushing your teeth that's only seen if you do it consistently, same with wearing sunscreen.
There's the cosmetic benefit as well as a health benefit.

gorl use it or don't
this has been researched by scientists, has research papers, been peer-reviewed, has countless studies ect.
Not everything needs a debate :dead:
