It seems all of the ladies of Monterey will have drama to contend with in the new season, as HBO's own synopsis says for Season Two.

"The Golden Globe and Emmy-winning series is a subversive, darkly comedic drama, which will continue to explore the malignancy of lies, the durability of friendships, the fragility of marriage and, of course, the vicious ferocity of sound parenting."

Madeline "confronts the truth of Perry's death and must come to terms with her own marriage and traditional notions of marriage."

Celeste is "reeling from her husband Perry?s death" and "is adrift, but determined to fight for her family and find the woman she once was.?
