I agree with Lil Mo, but she took the wrong approach with this one.

Lil Mo is speaking on the fact that this generation really don't HAVE a girl that's new and really vocally DRAGGING
and that they all sound the same-- a sleepy mess
same runs and riffs as the next gor

I mean during her time growing up she had the TRINITY among Up and coming legends like Mary, Faith, Toni , Whitney etc..

Yeah she did decent--but I sooo get what Mo means

YES.

This generation is really blah -- at least to me.
No one stands out, it all sounds the same.

Love Mo but she was dead wrong for this. :stressed:

I kinda have a soft spot for Queen Naija after watching a video of hers explaining her family history. Her father wanted to take her back to his home country somewhere in the middle east when she was a baby but her mama (a light skinned black woman) was not having it and ran away with her cos she didn't want her daughter being raised a muslim in a Arab country. She was scared he would kidnap the baby and raise her in the middle east like other Arab men have done. There was many films about this stuff made around the time Queen was born.

Queen never got to know her father and her mom kept everything about him a secret. When Queen was older her mother finally helped her find her father but when she tried to reconnect with her father she discovered he had passed away a few years before she contacted him. It was really sad watching her contact her relatives abroad and them informing her that her father had passed live on camera.

beautiful story

But Mo said what she said
and she didn't tell a single lie

Ok but since she said it... "vocal bibles"... can there be more than one? Is this title solely and exclusively hers?  Her being Brandy.

A curious mess
i mean, it?s her nickname

But it doesn?t mean greatest singer of all time. The idiots that get offended just don?t understand that the singers calling her that, are simply she?s their personal bible and study guide

So yea, sure. There can be multiple but no one is gonna really think of anyone else at this point cuz she?s been called that so much even by the media, 6 years between albums.
