Irene Bedard is not White.

She is of multiple Native ancestries mixed with Metis.

Could easily pass as Hispanic here in NYC.
I thought he asked if they had a Native American voice her. She?s not white.

Ive never heard of Native American women being sexualized. Only Black women and then Asian women associated with the shy, submissive mess
!!!
But I think it was all about the White man taming the "exotical beast"
You have to think about it.

A lot of people associate Indian heritage with physical features.
High cheekbones, hair, skin.

"Oh! That's just the Indian in my family that's why I'm so exoticals. lmao!!"

Sexualization of Native people is a real thing. Don't dismiss it until you at least look into it a bit.

I dont think that sexualization though, that?s just plain old self hatred.

Those are just features that Black people want to claim are the result of them being something other than Black.

Sexualization is the small asian women in porn taking BBC while giggling and acting coy, not knowing how to speak english and just being objects to use. And the whole Spanish Lolita thing. There are whole studies about asian women being sexually objectified and the asian men being shunned for the same things. ?soft spoken, feminine, small dicks, etc?  Nothing like that exists about Native American women. They just have ?good hair.? Those costumes, they also design rabbit costumes like that for women. women want to look sexy in halloween outfits regardless of the theme.

The movie is actually pretty good. And very true to history.

I know people who are actually within the Native community probably hate it but I love it. :omf:
That could just be me being a typical American though.

I was shocked that Disney kinda took it there with the racism mess.

And Colors of the Wind is such a pretty song :stressed:
(Vanessa's version)
oh no i agree! I was simply talking about the actresses they hired to voice the characters

Between this and hunchback omg sdddff so dark

Yh Native Americans weren't really racially sexualised the way black/Latina/Asian women were/are.

Black women were objectified as overly sexual, big butts, breasts and lips, breeding stock for future slaves.
Asian women because they're small, submissive, coy and petite
Latina women as overly sexual, spicy, akin to white women but more sexual.

White men had a pendance for defiling, raping anything that was forgien, it was there's for the taking.

To compare fake Indian regalia to a bunny costume is not fair at all.
It makes very little sense to me.

Firstly, it's appropriating culture. You don't do that by popping on bunny ears. Secondly, it's imitating a group of PEOPLE. Not ANIMALS.

They design women?s Halloween costumes to be sexy regardless of the theme. Did that make sense?

And claiming Indian mess to make someone more exotical is NOT a "Black self hatred" thing.
That is one of the biggest misconceptions within the Black community.

Plenty of White people do the same thing.

Claiming their great grandparent was a Cherokee Princess to make their family seem more exotical.
When no one mistakes them or their family for anything but White in real life.

It makes them feel special. Spicier. Not your "typical White person".
That is not self hatred, it is wanting to be different and edgy in some way.

:plzstop: oh ok sure

And the physical characteristic of CHEEKBONES is actually counterproductive in regardless to sexualizing a woman. Strong cheekbones usually read very masculine.

Honey you know damn well that?s not the same as Black people and Indian hair. This random anomaly doesn?t trump what I KNOW you understand about Blacks wanting to be everything but.
