This docu-series has completely changed the way I see Aaliyah.



I was never a fan of the "Age Ain't Nothing But A Number" album because it always felt wrong to me..

but even the One In A Million album has this mess written all over it still.

I feel differently now about Timbaland calling her "Baby Girl"

I don't like the Baby crying on "Are You That Somebody" anymore

I LOVED Aaliyah so much and her music, but I just feel differently about the entire thing now.

I LOVE her.. I just feel bad for her and don't like the what the people surrounding and supporting her did with her and her music.

I hear her music through a different lens now is all. I still love HER I'm just not impressed anymore by Timbalands treatment of her after what she went through.

I used to be so impressed by "Are You That Somebody" as a song and especially because of it's production and featuring the baby etc.. but it just feels "dirty/in bad taste" on Timb's part now

But honestly was Tim like RKelly following the blue print of "I'll make you famous" .. he signed a lot of young girls too and didn't do shit with their careers when he could have..
